Time series

The time series alone is not enough. To reconstruct the signal, additional information is required:

  • the time step size ("sampling interval")
  • the amplitude step size ("amplitude resolution");
    or, more precisely: the number of bits and the corresponding voltage range

A careful selection of these two parameters guarantees a controlled loss of information.
