Continuous recording of behavior in giraffes |

The Emmen (NL) Zoo has a large double enclosure where 8 giraffes are kept. The
door between the two enclosures is closed at night, so that a mother and
her infant are separated from the other 6 animals.
We installed two cameras several meters above the ground and were able to record all 6 giraffes simultaneously. When the mother and infant were recorded, they were exceptionally kept in the stall in the front, where the cameras were installed.
